In honor of the new release of some really cute Harpie Cards, I decided to have some fun and do an edit of my old Harpie queen, and Just like all of my revisions go, they usually involve almost completely altering the entire thing. XD Nonetheless, this piece was a fun, therapeutic, guilty pleasure for me. Honestly, I really needed this. Faerie’s Dice hasn’t been doing well lately, the last three cons have been flops, and frankly, people have just been mean! But doing this piece reminded me of why I create. Because I love it. Not because I need to survive, but because I love to create. My life is a medium for the message that I wish to send, not the other way around.

I hope you enjoy her! I think she turned out really cute! She kinda has that “Can you please get off me?” look on her face~ <3 But on a more serious note Harpies are a special creature for me. The idea of mixing a feminine creature with such feral traits, really helps bring vigor, power, and dominance to an ideal, female energy, that is normally viewed as passive and submissive by many at first glance.

So sorry that this one has taken me so long to complete. Cons, car repairs, and other life related things got in the way. Lately I’ve been trying to push that “Painted” feel. I hope it’s coming across okay!
As for the piece itself, I wanted to do something more original and conceptual, something with more artistic merit than a more simple appeal. It’s sorta the direction we wanna take Faerie’s Dice in, artwork that appeals to the higher level of the senses, but still is distinctly “us” and what we enjoy doing. There are two versions of this piece, the top version is the version closer to what my commissioner asked for. The second version, is completely my own deviation, is is meant to be taken in far more of a serious light.

As for the second piece, if I were to give it a name, I would name it “Against Birth”

Again, I will straight up tell you, the second piece was made to be taken in a more serious and artistic light. I understand that many might not be able to fully appreciate it’s essence, and for those of you who feel the second is a bit too difficult to do so with, I hope you at least enjoy the first version.

Commissions Progress!

Lately Antigone and I have been going full throttle on our commissions and really working hard. Our style has slowly been changing to a more painterly and Illustrative style, so each piece takes a bit more time to complete than when we first began Faerie’s Dice. The first piece up top is my own progress on a commission of Cyber End Dragon. Yes, do not worry, there is an armored version with a non rounded belly. With this one I really felt the urge to explore a conceptual and artsy design. I understand for many the depth I’m trying to convey will be lost, but either way I have enjoyed it’s creation so far.

The second piece is a commission of Elemental Hero Escuridao, being worked on by Antigone. I love the approach she is taking so far with the shape of the figure, as well as the armored bits. I can’t wait to see the facial expression, as well as the color pallet that she chooses.

Cyber End Dragon Sketch

Here is my progress for our latest item on the long commission list, Cyber End Dragon. Progress on this cutie has been slowed down quite a bit. Finding a place for Antigone and I to live, as well as the transmission on our car completely going out, having a con to go to mid march, no hotel booked, no way to get there. =/

Anyways, as far as the piece itself goes. I wanted to make her have the Grand and epic feeling that Antigone gave Ancient Gear Dragon, and Malefic Stardust Dragon. At the same time, with my wandering, and yearning for a deeper experience the way it has been lately, I truly felt the need to provide a deeper and more artsy touch to this piece… However, understanding that this wasn’t exactly what my commissioner might be expecting is important as a business. So! I did the usual. Two pieces that are slightly altered. The first piece matches what I feel my client asked for and will enjoy. The second piece is my “director’s cut” Aka, the piece I felt had the artistic message that I wanted to send. I’m not sure how you all will like the second one to be honest. But it was sorta my guilty pleasure anyways. But, feel free to let me know. It has a message in it, maybe, just as how I analyzed the feature friday piece, you too will find deeper meaning and enlightenment by observing it! Also as a random side note, it’s the same girl as the one from one of my previous pieces, Cyber Dragon.

I’ll keep you all updated as frequently as possible on my progress. For those of you who have paid and are on the commission list, Antigone and I are striving to complete our work and get to yours in as timely of a manner as possible. Rest assured, we will get to yours and will put our hearts and soul into it just as we do every piece.

I’m a fucking professional artist. And nobody forget it~!

XD I had a lot of fun with this one. Took my time, and just went with it~! This new illustration was my first attempt at a brand new paint style. *gasp*! No lines~! Well, I’m trying to become more of a painter. Painting is where my roots as well as my background, as well as my brain in art all lie. So, I figure I should refine my style so that it suits ME and MY strengths, not everyone else’s expectations and preconceived notions.

As for the piece itself? Tourguide is a little cutie~! Again, I absolutely enjoyed playing with her body and giving her a lovely more full figure. Add an an alluring TourBed to taste, and you’ve got yourself a Fun night~

Yep. It’s been requested over a billion times. Everyone clawed at us wildly, not so patiently waiting for the day that Faerie’s Dice would finally create this one. And FINALLY! For the first time EVAR… the opportunity as arrived, thankfully someone has been kind enough to commission her!

Here is a progress sketch of Tour Guide to the Underworld. She will have a pantie and pantieless version when finished.

Thanks so much to our commissioner for being so patient this one! I do hope you enjoy the direction that I’m going with her~! And just so you know, this is just a rough sketch. The Final rendering will look much cleaner and better.

Welp~! Here she is. Been workin on her for about a week now. A LOT longer than I had originally planned on spending with this blondie. But hey, I think she turned out all right. There is an obvious, NOT SO HIDDEN sub-reference goin on in this image. 10 points for whoever can identify said reference! Oh… and for those of you who don’t know, this is an OriCa card artwork that someone commissioned me to draw for them of Cyber dragon (No that’s not the sub-reference). If you like it, you too can get a commission from us~  All three versions of her are present within this post. The clothed version, the topless version (for my personal and your personal enjoyment too~) as well as the full sprite set of her. I posted the sprites because, as you can see, a lot had to be cut off for that final illustration! I simply couldn’t let 1/3 of my hard work go to complete waste… maybe someday I will animate her in Live 2D… I dunno! We’ll see!

One final note: Sorry for the inactivity guys. Just been workin hard. For those of you who have been kind enough to commission us. We thank you deeply for your patients, and will strive to get your work done as quickly as possible!

Here is my finished in progress sketch of for an OriCa card of Cyber Dragon. Part of a huge commission set for an amazing client of ours. ^^ He has given us a ton of freedom, and naturally I wanted to use this opportunity to get as creative as I could. If you notice, I took a lot of inspiration from Zero. =) I have no shame in that though… Megaman was my childhood…

Yet another commission down! This one took a bit longer than usual because my computer decided to have memory problems! D: So I had to have a friend reformat it for me and that took a day and then another day of getting files back onto the thing because my hard drive is a mess!! But now im back in business and its all done!~
Before I start that next commission tho I’ll be fixing up out profile and finishing some Dream Hack stuff. D:

Anyway back to the drawing, this may be a little controversial but when drawing the Shining I wanted to make her the female embodiment of God. And I think it came out very well. I by no means wish to push believes on anyone by doing this its just what I saw when drawing it
