This one was originally going to simply be Necrovalley with gravekeeper priestess on it but then I deiced it would be cuter if I made the priestess look like Mana, as if that’s what she grew up to be looking over the Pharaohs tomb ;w;

Ok I’m posting this before I throw my laptop out of the window out of frustration of drawing dragon bodies! UGGGGGG so it’s unfinished; missing the dragon’s arms and wings as well as her hands and harp. I’ll finish this tomorrow and start the lineart and painting ;w;

I’ve been working hard on this sketch with Bryan to make sure this looks as good as possible. With the help of an amazing friend I think this sketch is finally ready to move forward and turn into a line art! :)

Been working like an Egyptian slave lately! Got a few new progress sketches ready to show off here. The first is of a commissioner’s Original character, Betty. From what I know, she is a character in his original comic series that he is working on creating, other than that, she has ice powers! My commissioner seemed like he wanted us to have a lot of creative freedom with this one, so I got carried away playing around with her outfit to better show off that “Faerie’s Dice Flair”… o-o;; But seriously, I hope you don’t mind, and I hope you like the results! I promise the colors of her original outfit will be present within this new design. Also, her jacket sleeve is rolled up on her right arm, and her arm is frozen. Those are ice crystals.
And as for the second image… It’s a WIP of a contest entry that Antigone and I have been collaborating on. The contest entry is to design an Anime styled Magical fighting girl for a Japanese Trading card game. The winner gets cash, their card in the game, the card, as well as some future opportunities. We felt that this contest is seriously within our best interest, and is the change that Faerie’s Dice has been searching for. Win or Loose, this image is going to have our all, and I mean our ALL put into it! Like I said, we are playing to fucking win, but also to remind ourselves of what art truly means for us. The image itself is representative of a person that is very special to me, as well as a place that seems like a distant memory.

Sketch for the next commission i’m working on, Hand of Nephthys. i’ll work on it more later and maybe post some more progress on it before its done :P depends on how fast it goes by.

So sorry that this one has taken me so long to complete. Cons, car repairs, and other life related things got in the way. Lately I’ve been trying to push that “Painted” feel. I hope it’s coming across okay!
As for the piece itself, I wanted to do something more original and conceptual, something with more artistic merit than a more simple appeal. It’s sorta the direction we wanna take Faerie’s Dice in, artwork that appeals to the higher level of the senses, but still is distinctly “us” and what we enjoy doing. There are two versions of this piece, the top version is the version closer to what my commissioner asked for. The second version, is completely my own deviation, is is meant to be taken in far more of a serious light.
As for the second piece, if I were to give it a name, I would name it “Against Birth”
Again, I will straight up tell you, the second piece was made to be taken in a more serious and artistic light. I understand that many might not be able to fully appreciate it’s essence, and for those of you who feel the second is a bit too difficult to do so with, I hope you at least enjoy the first version.

Lately Antigone and I have been going full throttle on our commissions and really working hard. Our style has slowly been changing to a more painterly and Illustrative style, so each piece takes a bit more time to complete than when we first began Faerie’s Dice. The first piece up top is my own progress on a commission of Cyber End Dragon. Yes, do not worry, there is an armored version with a non rounded belly. With this one I really felt the urge to explore a conceptual and artsy design. I understand for many the depth I’m trying to convey will be lost, but either way I have enjoyed it’s creation so far.
The second piece is a commission of Elemental Hero Escuridao, being worked on by Antigone. I love the approach she is taking so far with the shape of the figure, as well as the armored bits. I can’t wait to see the facial expression, as well as the color pallet that she chooses.
