In honor of the new release of some really cute Harpie Cards, I decided to have some fun and do an edit of my old Harpie queen, and Just like all of my revisions go, they usually involve almost completely altering the entire thing. XD Nonetheless, this piece was a fun, therapeutic, guilty pleasure for me. Honestly, I really needed this. Faerie’s Dice hasn’t been doing well lately, the last three cons have been flops, and frankly, people have just been mean! But doing this piece reminded me of why I create. Because I love it. Not because I need to survive, but because I love to create. My life is a medium for the message that I wish to send, not the other way around.

I hope you enjoy her! I think she turned out really cute! She kinda has that “Can you please get off me?” look on her face~ <3 But on a more serious note Harpies are a special creature for me. The idea of mixing a feminine creature with such feral traits, really helps bring vigor, power, and dominance to an ideal, female energy, that is normally viewed as passive and submissive by many at first glance.

Feature Friday: Carrying the Load

Hello there everyone~! I hope you all are doing well these days. Recently, Antigone and I got back from Kami-Con 2013, and while it was a profitable venture for us both, it was easily one of the most trying experiences of our career. I won’t go into too much detail, (considering I have lingered on this topic for far too long now) But for those of you who didn’t know, feel free to read my full experience of the convention that I wrote a few days ago.

Thankfully, Antigone and I have been graced with some truly amazing friends and supporters. After writing this, I think our inboxes got flooded with letters of concern, sympathy, and love. The love and support that we received meant the world to us, but even so, pain still lingers and the healing process is an ongoing thing.

I felt like because of all this, now would be a good time to put into motion an idea I’ve had for a long time now. “Feature Friday” a day where I feature something that truly inspires me to create and/or better myself in some particular way, and share it with everyone. Continue reading →

And only feminine energy can make me bow

as it swirls all around me

dancing, beckoning, taunting, tickling

It’s that time of the year again. Yep. you Guessed it! The Yule~! Heh, you guys probably have no clue what the Yule is. Well, in essence, it’s a pagan holiday, and what many Christmas traditions have been based off of. It’s the time of the year when the darkness has fully settled in, and from here on out, the light will begin to slowly return to the world. For us witches, its a time of togetherness, recollection, and appreciation of what we have. Also, fun fact, the yule takes place this year on the very same prophesied end of the Mayan Calendar. Also, another fun fact, as the earth revolves around the sun, the axis of the earth itself slowly rotates. A full rotation takes about 26,000 years. The circle of rotation is divided into a bunch of different sections, kinda like a pie, and each section marks an era of the earth. The Age of the Pisces is what you have all experienced during your lifetime’s thus far. Well, the earth will enter the next era, the age of the Aquarius on the day of the Yule/The end of the Mayan Calendar. The 21st. Heavy stuff huh? No matter what way you look at it, it marks a special occasion for the Earth.

Anyways, With all of that being said~! Were having a Sale~! Celebrating all of these wonderful new landmarks and changes. It’s a wonderful time to be alive right now, so we should all be happy and celebrate it!

Fall Nessa Progress

Gawd… This one has been killing me. I’ve been putting pretty much all I’ve got into this. Reason being…

Antigone and I are Rebranding and Revamping Faerie’s Dice. It was a fun year, but it’s time for a much needed change, and with that change, we need Nessa to change along with Faerie’s Dice. Thus… explains the new Fall look that she is sporting now.

I’ll go into more detail later as to what this new rebranding means for Faerie’s Dice, and it’s loyal supporters~ Only good things can happen from here on out. But for now, As for this drawing… Every single part of it has been a long rocky road… After I had fully rendered the skin, I had to completely erase the face area, and do major edits to the face and hair. Luckily, all went well, and Nessa herself is basically finished.

With any luck, tomorrow I will cram all day and get a background going. And when that’s finished, I’ll post the final version tomorrow.

the rebirth of Faerie’s Dice is imminent. Look forward to it everyone~

Here is a commission that I have spent FOREVER on~! Thank you so much to LordNobleHeart for being so patient and such an awesome friend~! This commission was delayed to hell and back due to dire personal circumstances, as well as the AWA convention that Antigone and I were preparing so long for!

The two lovely ladies are Steambath maiden, and Snowfall maiden. Both are Original characters that Lordnobleheart came up with himself. Here they are in a transformation scene! Coming together to form an even more powerful feminine figure~! A figure so powerful, and so beautiful, that she is going to take a lot of care for me to draw! Look forward to the next part of this commission coming up soon!

(PS: Steambath is totally my favorite of the two XP I love her to pieces!)

Ohhh yeahh… and This would make a pretty kick ass Gamemat. Just sayin~ <3

I’m actually really ticked off at the moment. Just got banned off of Ustream for a commission that Antigone was working on (that didn’t even have any nudity in it).

I’m incredibly sick of this. I’m incredibly sick of censorship, and more importantly, I’m sick of the targeting. Someone or some people have it out for us. At this point, it seriously feels like were being targeted down and banned everywhere we go.

I’m tired of being the scum of the earth for drawing nude women. I pay my taxes, and I don’t hurt anyone. So why will people not just leave us the fuck alone?

Here is the finished image for Warrior Lady of the Wasteland. I am fairly happy with it. ^^ About half way through painting it, I realized that this woman looks a lot like Samus, so I had a nostalgia moment and started listening to the metroid prime 3 OST. SUchhhhh good music! Anyways, The background I did up fairly quick, so I do hope it looks all right. As I said in one of my updates, I wanted this image to sorta tell a story. So I do hope that it does.

And!! Credit goes to my love for helping me with the hair. ^^ I really liked how the hair turned out, and she really helped me along in figuring out a good style.

Here is progress on my latest commission, warrior lady of the wasteland! When I was trying to figure out what I was going to do for this commission, I took a look at the official artwork for this card, and suddenly realized that the artwork in this card as well as a few others, are all part of a series. Each card tells a different story, and the stories are told through the card artwork. I found it fascinating that Warrior lady of the wasteland actually has a little back story, and I wanted to include that element in my OriCa drawing of her. I hope you all like it, and I hope he likes it as well.
