I’m sure many of you might be sick of seeing these two by now, but just in case you aren’t! Here is the final version of both mystic Elf and Aqua spirit together! I was commissioned to do this, so I do hope it turned out well! I tried to take elements from each of their backgrounds, and combine them into one scene. I kinda think it turned out okay. =)

This image will be crafted into one of our Yugioh OriCa cards, however! It will be the first completely original card. It’s going to be a special magic card, with a unique effect!

Hey there everyone. Here is some progress on my latest Yu-Gi-Oh Orica Commission. Honestly, I really don’t have much to say about these. I was really excited to do these at first, as these two cards and what they symbolize mean so much to me. But to be honest, lately I have felt just terrible. I’ve been criticized a lot, for just doing what I love doing. I try not to bother anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings with my art, I just do it because I love it. But constantly I get criticized and hated every now and then. It always hurts though when a family member is the one to bring fire. Honestly, it hurt. Badly. I’ve been afraid to do any work or really post anything at all. I love what I do, and I love what I am. I have no doubts about what I am doing, nor any doubts about my moral and spiritual compass. But others do about me. Knowing there is family behind my back, secretly talking about me and that are ashamed and disgusted at who I am, what I am all about, and what I love to do. It makes me uneasy and afraid to do anything. For the past few days, I truly haven’t been living. I’ve just been miserable, frustrated, and afraid. It’s times like these that I need the goddess to help guide me. And even so, It makes me even more afraid to know that I put myself in even more danger just by saying the word “Goddess”. The powerful spirit that I believe in, that I understand, that I learn from, was born from, and that guides me, is so hated…

Aqua Spirit and Mystic Elf Lineart

Hello everyone! Just a small update with my latest Yu-Gi-oh OriCa card commission! I went ahead and did the Line art for both of them! Now that they are nice and clean, I am going to proceed with the base colors, and then the painting process. =)

Also! please excuse any sluggish progress. Currently were preparing for our next Anime convention, UltimaCon!

This convention is all the way out in New Orleans! So it’s going to be quite the drive for us. Around 7 Hours! We have been (yet again) scrambling to make sure that we are well prepared with a large inventory of products/prints to sell at our Artist Table. =) Wish us luck! As it will be quite the experience for both of us! The convention btw, is taking place right in the French Quarter. Pretty sweet!

I actually finished this drawing a week or so ago, I just forgot that I recorded part of myself creating it! ^^; Anyways, sorry also that I didn’t record myself painting the background. Next time I will be sure to show my entire process.

For those of you that don’t know, this is a sped up video of inking and painting a piece of Final Fantasy XI fanart that I did of a Mithra. The whole thing took around 4 hours. So if nothing else! Sit back and enjoy the music! It’s an awesome FFXI remix by the amazing DJ Plaeskool. The song is called “The Empress’s Secret”. It’s a remix of the song that plays in the main city in the Treasures of Aht Urgan Expansion pack.

Mithra in the Mirror

Hello everyone! Here is a piece of FFXI Fanart that I have been working very hard on for the past few weeks. Honestly, I’ve been pretty down lately due to my Job taking over my life. It has left me no room to really go full force in what I truly love, Art. Well, the past few days I have gotten some freetime, and I’ve decided to use every ounce of it to show off to the world What I truly am. I’m an artist. That is who I am, and Who I have chosen to be! What started off as a simple piece of fanart, I feel I have really gone all out with, definitely more than usual! Everything I painted by hand in Corel Painter 11. No premade Texture brushes, all pure observation and skill. =P

FFXI is a game that means a lot to me. It’s a game that really got me through some rough times in life, and helped me grow as a person. I truly feel like that game and I have grown up a lot together. =) The picture is of a Mithra getting ready for her dunes EXP Party. As she gets ready, she decides to check herself out and make sure she is lookin her best! I think her Moogle approves! Btw, she is wearing a Kenpogi. All you FFXI fans should recognize it!

Normally I don’t post the Base colors progress shot unless I feel it’s important, however… It’s been way too long since I have actually had the chance to do much art at all. Art is my passion. It’s my love, and it’s what I want to do with my life. It’s who I am, an artist. Yet I have been spending all of my time working my stupid real estate job. It sucks. Someday, someday… Faerie’s Dice will be all I need to support Antigone and I.

Anyways! This is one of those color jobs that hasn’t been coming easy. Stupid me actually forgot to draw her tail on! DX So I had to add that in after I finished. A lot of corrections had to be made and a lot of mistakes had to be corrected.

Hello there! Last week I had the random urge to draw a piece of FFXI fanart. I supposed the inspiration spawned from my downloading a FFXI Soundboard app that I used to change all of the music and notification tones on my Droid. With my phone now sounding like a permanate FFXI exp party, it’s got me feeling a bit nolstalgic of the good ol days…

Back in highschool, FFXI was my life. I was going through some rough times back then. It was definitely a transitional phase of my life that I was having a rough time in. Well, FFXI helped me out a lot, it gave me something to look forward to afterschool, it gave me friends, let me be curious, and let me explore the emotions and feelings of people far away from me. It gave me good times that I will never forget.

In memory of those good times, I wanted to draw a piece of tribute fanart. My Mithra character, Kiaraa, checking herself out in the mirror as she gets herself ready for that dunes EXP party! I hope you all visually enjoy. as drawing a mirror image was one of the hardest things that I have ever drawn! Seriously, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I drew this image!

No. 32 Marine Biting Shark Drake

She’s Finally finishedddd!! This card has been delayed so many times due to personal life issues that Antigone and I have been having. (Mainly car trouble!!) But through all of the hell, we finally finished her.

I for one, am extremely proud. When we started off on this drawing, Antigone had a hard time with the design, and got a bit discouraged.

I mean who wouldn’t? The design of the original card completely sucks…

I could rant for days on how terrible the original card illustration is, everything from the colors, to the overall design makes me wanna bordem induce vomit.

We had to somehow take that design, and make it into something sexy and worth looking at.

And we did. The sketch started off pretty iffy and rough, but once we got down to the color pallete, I think Antigone and i both started to see this one come together. I am so happy that we could both see this illustration through to completion.

I thank our client so much! He was super patient and has been a huge support to Faerie’s Dice! Not only that, but he constantly is pushing our design abilities by giving us challenging and fun projects to work on for him. he is truly the best!
