Well I finished. Took around two weeks to finish this piece. But I finished it. Honestly, Been depressed lately. Doing beautiful work while carrying these feelings is rough. Simply having the motivation to even try lately… honestly.

Took me a little bit. Was working on this one at the same time that I was duoing our entry for the Magic Knight contest. Anyways, I hope she turned out okay!
This is an original Character commissioned from a friend of mine’s up and coming Comic. XP His original character’s name is Betty, and she has Ice powers! I wasn’t told much else about her, but I was given a picture of her. Her outfit was quite a bit different from what you are seeing here. It was a little more casual and conservative. XP So I decided to play around and have some fun pushing her outfit’s design!

In honor of the new release of some really cute Harpie Cards, I decided to have some fun and do an edit of my old Harpie queen, and Just like all of my revisions go, they usually involve almost completely altering the entire thing. XD Nonetheless, this piece was a fun, therapeutic, guilty pleasure for me. Honestly, I really needed this. Faerie’s Dice hasn’t been doing well lately, the last three cons have been flops, and frankly, people have just been mean! But doing this piece reminded me of why I create. Because I love it. Not because I need to survive, but because I love to create. My life is a medium for the message that I wish to send, not the other way around.
I hope you enjoy her! I think she turned out really cute! She kinda has that “Can you please get off me?” look on her face~ <3 But on a more serious note Harpies are a special creature for me. The idea of mixing a feminine creature with such feral traits, really helps bring vigor, power, and dominance to an ideal, female energy, that is normally viewed as passive and submissive by many at first glance.

So sorry that this one has taken me so long to complete. Cons, car repairs, and other life related things got in the way. Lately I’ve been trying to push that “Painted” feel. I hope it’s coming across okay!
As for the piece itself, I wanted to do something more original and conceptual, something with more artistic merit than a more simple appeal. It’s sorta the direction we wanna take Faerie’s Dice in, artwork that appeals to the higher level of the senses, but still is distinctly “us” and what we enjoy doing. There are two versions of this piece, the top version is the version closer to what my commissioner asked for. The second version, is completely my own deviation, is is meant to be taken in far more of a serious light.
As for the second piece, if I were to give it a name, I would name it “Against Birth”
Again, I will straight up tell you, the second piece was made to be taken in a more serious and artistic light. I understand that many might not be able to fully appreciate it’s essence, and for those of you who feel the second is a bit too difficult to do so with, I hope you at least enjoy the first version.

XD I had a lot of fun with this one. Took my time, and just went with it~! This new illustration was my first attempt at a brand new paint style. *gasp*! No lines~! Well, I’m trying to become more of a painter. Painting is where my roots as well as my background, as well as my brain in art all lie. So, I figure I should refine my style so that it suits ME and MY strengths, not everyone else’s expectations and preconceived notions.
As for the piece itself? Tourguide is a little cutie~! Again, I absolutely enjoyed playing with her body and giving her a lovely more full figure. Add an an alluring TourBed to taste, and you’ve got yourself a Fun night~

For I’m the air you breathe, as well as the soil beneath your feet!
That gentle little breeze, the one that smells of roses oh so sweet~!
Even the cute girl or boy you feel so deep!
Yes, yes that’s me too.
But now I’m here, you’ve called me from so far, I’ve had to travel for quite a long time.
I’m actually really tired, and making these rhymes is so hard! Isn’t it enough for a goddess to watch over her children?
Lighten up,~! Let’s just relax and shoot the breeze~! You’re in my land, my time, my space. As your eyes follow the dance of these foreign words,
your mind drifts to a far away place, a place that I would like to share with you.
Here is a story that I’m going to tell. A story that takes place beyond the bounds of time… It’s a special tale, one very close to my heart.
So listen well! I might need to tell this in parts…
It all began with a single tear. A tear that came from the heart of a beautiful woman. Maiden of all, maiden of dawn, she was a woman who’s heart knew no bounds…
She spent all her days staring far up into the stars… wondering, where it was that her heart was born?
One day, the answer came to her…. An answer so terrifying, so heartbreaking, and so moving, that it inspired her to create, create beyond her heart’s desire.
A tear fell from her heart, and it traveled down deep through the void.
It splashed. And that splash, created the first ripples of time.
Time spread out and curled, it folded, unfolded, and refolded in more directions than was imaginable.
Together with the hands of the beautiful maiden, these threads were woven, woven delicately into an intricate design, a design that far surpassed the understanding of anyone. Including herself.
For the first time, she gave birth, birth to not just anything, but her first child.
That child’s, name was “Feywilde”
What came of this child? And who was this maiden exactly?
What does this even have to do with you? Hehe. My child. That’s going to take some convincing.
You see, Unlike many other goddesses, I actually take convincing to do things that I don’t like.
Telling this story, as beautiful as it is, is difficult for me. It will take some time to unravel my heart.
But, if your willing, and if you love me enough, then maybe we can embark on this journey together?
As these words hit your eyes, they might glance off your mind, and then my image will fade from your existence.
But just know, even if I do fade, I’m the air you breathe, as well as the soil beneath your feet!
